Look after your feet The world of feet is being seen as more and more important in the world in which we live. Many of us will ‘switch off’ from our feet, or pretend they don’t exist because the foot is spent all day hidden in a shoe. You might hate your feet so will find it hard to engage with them. This is how we store problems.
If you’ve had podiatry, physio, chiropractic or osteopathy to address any foot or ankle problems then that’s a great start. At Move Clinic, our osteopaths are fully committed to improving your foot/ankle health, with specific skill sets to help you deal with your low limb injury and assist you in preventing pain or discomfort. A sign that your foot health needs some attention could result in any of the following:
- pain or discomfort
- hammer-toes
- bunions
- corns
- callouses,
- ‘wear and tear’ (osteoarthritis)
- plantar fasciitis
- achilles tendinitis
- ankle sprain
- medial tibial stress syndrome (shin splints), calf strain, or knee issues.
We can advise you on how to manage your low limb problem. We offer gait analysis using our state of the art Footscan technology, alongside our expert eye. During your appointment, we will discuss your specific needs, offer rehabilitation exercises and manual therapy consisting of massage, mobilisation and stretching techniques. We will give you appropriate advice on managing your pain, and discuss the effect your chosen footwear may be having. We also offer PHITS insoles – the world’s most advanced orthotic/insole. We will talk with you openly and honestly about whether they would be appropriate for you, or not. If we feel that you need a referral to see a podiatrist or chiropodist then we can advise you on that.
